Can you hear me now???

Madison turned two in December, and for a while now, we have been concerned with her ability to talk. We know she knows what she wants to say, and will often times talk, but she isn't often able to fully communicate what she needs.

So, when we went for her 2 year check up, I asked the doctor what he felt like would be the best course of action to try to remedy the problem. Well, long story short, today we went to see the ENT doctor. He checked her out, and said she has fluid behind her eardrums (we already knew this but it was nice to have it confirmed). Therefore, she is not able to hear as well as most children, and he compared it to her hearing us like we are talking underwater. Poor thing! So, next Tuesday, she will have tubes put in her ears. I am glad that we are finally able to move forward with all of this, and hope that she will begin to talk. Although, once she starts, she might never stop!

Stay at Home Momma...

Well, I am once again a full time stay at home mom. Maddie started daycare back in August, in hopes that I would find a job. While I was able to find a job at Target during Christmas, I never worked enough to justify paying for her to be in full time daycare. So, we decided to take her out. It was a tough decision, she has grown and matured so much while there, and we have really seen her personality come out since she had been there. However, money doesn't grow on our trees, and let's just say that daycare isn't cheap!

I am excited to have her back at home, it was nice to get up this morning and not have to rush around and try to get her dressed, fed, and in the car in order t try and be there at a decent time. Today we didn't even leave the house, we just played and cleaned up around here. Maddie even tried to help me clean, she got some fantastik and a magic eraser and was cleaning the entertainment armoire. She's so precious, and she loves to help us out, no matter what we are doing!

Well, I need to get to bed, tommorrow is another day on the mommy job!
