I've been spending (errr, wasting) a lot of time lately on design blogs, thinking of how I'd design my dream house. Although I'd love to have to an open floor plan, I can totally imagine having this exact kitchen in my house one day. I would love to have some good conversations with the ones I love over yummy food at this table...and I'd throw in an island at the other end of this kitchen with barstools that then opened into the dining room and den. A girl can dream, right?!!!

The Zoo
Mary Beth and I with the girls on their first carosaul ride!
Today Bo and I took Maddie to the zoo, along with Abby, Daniel and Audra Grace. We had so much fun! We were only there for about 2 hours, but it was plenty of time. I think the girls really enjoyed it, I definitely feel like I got a better feel for the plac
e this time.
Porcupine
Meerkats
Best Friends!!
Giraffes
Today while we were there, I was able to get a zoo membership. It wasn't that expensive, and they were able to deduct what we paid today from the total for the membership. I definitely feel like it will be worth it, I look forward to taking her quite a bit over the summer, even if it's only the two of us. I need something to do to fill our days!

Latest Adventures
She met another supposed "milestone" when she cut her bangs...HERSELF!!! Yes, she did! I had placed the scissors on the counter, and was in the bathroom, when I went back in the kitchen, there was hair everywhere. I freaked out and honestly, my first thought was, can I glue it back?! I guess I was wishful thinking. Although, it was really not that bad, and I was glad it was just her bangs. I quickly called Bo, and he proceeded to call our sister in law, a hairdresser. She fit Maddie in that day, and tried her best to do damage control. It's been a few weeks now, and I will admit that it looks much better now, and at least now I can see her eyes!

Before~At the salon!
After!
Other than tubes and haircuts, it's been pretty quiet around here. My mom has been visiting for a few days, so we have enjoyed spending time with her. The weather is finally warming up, so that's been nice. I am ready for warmer weather, and have already switched my closet over to warm weather clothes in hopes of pushing it along!

Can you hear me now???
So, when we went for her 2 year check up, I asked the doctor what he felt like would be the best course of action to try to remedy the problem. Well, long story short, today we went to see the ENT doctor. He checked her out, and said she has fluid behind her eardrums (we already knew this but it was nice to have it confirmed). Therefore, she is not able to hear as well as most children, and he compared it to her hearing us like we are talking underwater. Poor thing! So, next Tuesday, she will have tubes put in her ears. I am glad that we are finally able to move forward with all of this, and hope that she will begin to talk. Although, once she starts, she might never stop!
